Vision

The Vision of Medplus Hospice Services is to provide the highest quality hospice services, through dedication to patient and family care and by creating an environment where people are loved, valued, and at peace.

Mission Statement

Medplus Hospice Services is committed to providing compassionate care that enables patients and families to embrace the end of life with dignity, courage, and peace. In this effort, we are committed to growing a values-driven community while leading the way in honoring patients' rights and building strong and meaningful relationships with all whose lives we touch.

At Medplus Hospice Services, our foremost mission is to uphold the highest standards of hospice care, guided by California Hospice Standards (CHS), Medicare Conditions of Participation (MCP), and The Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Hospice Organizations Standards. We achieve this through a dedicated and evolving program of internal quality assurance and performance improvement.

To deliver compassionate, patient- and family-centered care, we carefully recruit and retain a diverse team of highly qualified hospice professionals. Our staff is devoted to meeting the unique physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those we serve, while empowering patients and their families to take an active role in care planning through ongoing education and shared decision-making.

It is our privilege to walk alongside individuals and their loved ones during this sacred chapter of life—not simply to ease sorrow, but to help uncover meaning, connection, and peace.

Medplus Hospice is devoted to enhancing quality of life, preserving dignity, and supporting patients and families through the challenges of end-of-life care. We also extend our efforts beyond the bedside, providing education to patients, families, and the wider community to promote greater understanding and access to hospice services.

We proudly provide care without discrimination of any kind, honoring the inherent worth of every individual—regardless of race, color, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, ability, health condition, or national origin.

Our Team Leaders

Oganes Margaryan, CEO

Oganes Margaryan is the Founder and CEO of Medplus Hospice, a role he has held since establishing the company in 2017. His professional journey began in sales after high school, but he soon realized that his true calling lay elsewhere.

Originally from Armenia, Oganes was deeply influenced by his cultural tradition of caring for elders as they approached the end of their lives. Upon moving to America, he was struck by the subpar care received by terminally ill patients compared to what he had provided to his own elders. This realization motivated him to create Medplus Hospice, aiming to offer the same level of compassionate and dedicated care to his new community. Oganes is committed to ensuring that patients and their families see his team as part of their extended, caring, and supportive family.

Matthew Rodriguez, RN, DPCS

Matthew Rodriguez has been serving as the Director of Patient Care Services (DPCS) since 2023 and as an RN since 2011. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Science from California State University, San Bernardino, and has a robust background with 12 years of ICU care as an RN and 7 years in hospice care.

Mathew’s extensive experience includes 3 years as a DPCS designee in hospice care, 4 years as an RN Case Manager (RNCM), and a member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT). His time in intensive care has provided him with a unique perspective on death and dying, fueling his commitment to advocating for a dignified death defined by each individual. Empathy is at the core of Mathew’s approach, and he finds hospice care to be a unique and beautiful process that empowers individuals who believe they have no options left.
